Beyond Attitude Consulting acknowledges we operate in Mi’kma’ki – the unceded territory and ancestral homeland of the Mi’kmaq First Nation. Our relationship is based on a series of Peace and Friendship treaties between the Mi’kmaq First Nation and the Crown, dating from 1725 to 1779. In 1999 the Supreme Court of Canada, in R v Marshall, upheld the 1752 treaty “which promised Indigenous Peoples the right to hunt and fish their lands and establish trade.”
We also acknowledge that we work and play in many unceded territories and ancestral homelands of Indigenous Peoples across North America, and respect the rights and traditions of the many First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples therein.
We are all Treaty People.
CBSM Strategy for Phosphorous Reduction
There was quite a bit of interest in the report that I posted last month on Backyard Composting CBSM in Langley, BC. In order to help facilitate sharing of information, I am going to try to make more of our reports available, with the permission of our clients.
We undertook the Rondeau Bay Community-Based Social Marketing Project (http://www NULL.beyondattitude NULL.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Rondeau-Bay-CBSM-Strategy_Report NULL.pdf) for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (http://www NULL.mnr NULL.gov NULL.on NULL.ca/en/) in 2010. The report includes the research results and the development of a Community-based Social Marketing strategy to reduce phosphorous loading into Lake Erie in the beautiful Rondeau Bay area. The target audience for this project was lakeshore residents in the community.
Thanks to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for sharing this report (http://www NULL.beyondattitude NULL.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Rondeau-Bay-CBSM-Strategy_Report NULL.pdf). If you have any questions, please contact me.
